I am fascinated by biological shape and by the evolutionary questions that can be addressed with its study. I am currently looking to develop a line of research based on geometric morphometrics (including theoretical morphometrics), use of machine learning tools, and integrative taxonomy.

August 31, 2026:
The "batdog" paper is out!! This is work I carried out in
Dr. Yohe's lab
during my first postdoctoral appointment at UNC Charlotte. Here, we use the skulls of the two most diverse mammal groups (domestic dogs and phyllostomid bats) to contribute to a fundamental evolutionary question: is macroevolution just microevolution repeated on a larger scale, or does it imply emergent properties and patterns?
